COMEDY

Navin not only captured the hearts and imaginations of all Indians with his single comic punch line Paichan Kon but in reality he changed the way stand-up comedy was approached and thought of in India. In fact, it will be easy to say Navin Prabhakar is a laughter riot, the turning point of Indian television stand-up comedy shows and is the best comedian in India. In USA in the year 2003, he performed in front of a jam-packed audience of more than 45,000 people. And the only word people utter after the show was "WOW!"

His punchline became so famous that Reliance launched LG CDMA Pehchaan Kaun phones that tell users who is calling by its ringtone.


This didn't end here. Bally books printed Navin's photo on the front covers of their books and sold about 1,50,000 copies.


And this is the conviction of this person that after achieving run-away success with his laugh riot antics as the No. 1 stand-up artist in India and leaving the audiences in splits on the show, Navin quickly turned and showcased his craft in other disciplines also.


DUBBING AND VOICE-OVER

Navin, blessed with a mesmerizing voice has sung with Adnan Sami's song "Lift Karade (Remix)" as a voiceover artist and has also given voiceover in various films like "Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse" for Sanjay Dutt, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya for Sanjay Dutt and it was also Sohail Khan's first movie, Nehle Pe Dehla for Sanjay Dutt, "Champion" for Sunny Deol and"Ara Ara Aaba, Aata Tari Thamba" in Marathi. He has also sung the very soothing title track of the movie Traffic Signal Kya kya lafdaa hota hai signal pe, signal pe with Baba Saigal and Vinod Rathod, music by Shameer Tandon and the most famous song of the year 2000 Dhagala lagli kala (Jalwa Part II Remix). He has also dubbed the voice of Dada Kondke and Nilu Phule.


He also released his own singing debut album Paichan Kon. This album comprised of five feet-tapping songs, 2 karaoke tracks and 25 minutes of comedy and mimicry act.


He also conceptualized a singing show called Sing and Laugh with Navin Prabhakar which was first performed in Mumbai with 2000 audience at Shanmukhananda auditorium. He completed 50 shows with the same title.


He has also done voice over for Sunny Deol, Dharmendra, Sanjay Dutt, Tiku Talsania, Sunil Shetty and Jitendra.


ACTING

With no dearth of talent, aspiration and ambition, Navin has also played the leading role in his upcoming film Mujhe Ramuji Se Milna Hai and has also appeared for lead roles in Bhavnao Ko Samjho which was released in 2010 and No Problem in Marathi in the year 2007.


He has played the role of childhood friend of Shahid Kapoor for the upcoming film Phata Poster Nikla Hero and childhood friend of Neil Nitin Mukesh for Shortcut Romeo coming soon. He played the role of Asin's husband in the movie "Khiladi 786" and as elder brother of Riteish Deshmukh in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya both released in 2012. He also played as negative comedian in Vroom, produced by fox television in 2010.


And the most important of all is he has acted in three Aids awareness short films for the Hollywood star "Richard Gere," which has been called as Heroes Project (2006). But Navin Prabhakar's talent has been highly appreciated by most directors and producers for his one short filmAftermath "Aftermath" (2008), thus showcasing the awesome mine of talent he has within.


MIMICRY

Navin, a man with electrifying energy and vivacious charisma had also made everyone felt his presence in a brand new avatar of anchoring a show called "Hello Kaun? Pehchaan Kaun" aired on Star One in 2008-09. He has been recognized as the number one mimicry artist in India for his ability to do natural voice mimicry for about 90 bollywood superstars. He has successfully done dubbing for all the superstars and veteran actors of Bollywood for various movies and television shows.


JUDGING

Navin who has a peerless sense and an eye for judging the Talent Quotient had also appeared as a celebrity judge on Sony Entertainment Television's "Boogie Woogie" in 2008.
